Dr. Wyant is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has been practicing in the DFW metroplex since 1994. She graduated summa cum laude from Henderson State University, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She has also completed an internal medicine internship and an anesthesiology residency. She did her psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She completed a fellowship in neuropsychopharmacology at the Medical College of Georgia.
She has served as a co-investigator in drug studies sponsored by Janssen, Ayerst and Bristol-Meyers, and has published and presented in the field of psychopharmacology. She has presented at meetings on the treatment of personality disorders, including dialectical behavior therapy; on assertive community treatment, and in the field of psychoanalysis, which is a form of intensive psychotherapy.
