New Patients

Dr. Mary Wyant would like to welcome you to her practice. She remains committed to providing people high quality medical psychotherapy and to helping them find long-term answers to long-term problems.

Scheduling and Cancellation Policy: Initial appointments can be made by calling Dr. Wyant’s office between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday at 817-410-2600. She usually returns phone calls by the end of the day and will strive to call back within 24 hours. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so as soon as possible, so the time may be used for someone else. Please give 24 hour notice if you must cancel an appointment, to avoid being charged. Dr. Wyant thanks you for your consideration of this policy.

Preparing for your first appointment with Dr. Wyant: Before the appointment, please print the Initial Evaluation Form (PDF) and fill in as much detail as possible. This information will be of help during your assessment, and will also help you organize your thinking about your history. If there are questions you cannot answer, or do not wish to answer, please feel free to leave those items blank. After completing the form, please bring it with you to the appointment. You may wish to make a copy for your own records.

Arrival for your appointment: Please arrive a few minutes early for your first appointment. Directions to Dr. Mary Wyant’s office is on our contact page.

When you arrive, please enter and to your right, turn the switch to the ON position located under Dr. Mary Wyant’s name to let her know of your arrival. Please have a have a seat in her waiting room and she will be with you momentarily.

Initial evaluation: The initial evaluation will take about an hour. Expect to spend most of this time just talking about whatever you feel is most important to you. If time permits, we will also talk about past history, family history, coping styles, and relationship issues. As Dr. Wyant and you work on these issues together, treatment options will also be discussed.

Private Practice Philosophy:    Dr. Mary Wyant is not any of the insurance plans. She can provide you with a receipt as an out-of-network provider that you can submit to your insurance provider. She cannot promise you reimbursement, so please check with your insurance carrier. Payment is due at your appointment, cash, checks, or credit cards are accepted.
